Outdoor app or indoor use. For use with channels incorporating an isolated individual conductor or for a particular use by: -
A) Cables that are not effectively filled, compact and / or circular, have tape beds or have hygroscopic fillers.
B) Cable showing the characteristics of 'cold flow'.
C) Attachments containing ignition sources in the gas group IIC region or containing an ignition source in Zone 1 area.
Features cable gland hawke
Provides a barrier seal between individual isolated cores within the cable and prevents the entry of products from explosions into cables or channels.
Conductor seals on entering the enclosure through the channel or allowing existing cable glands to be converted to a glandular cable barrier type.
The device comes with simple space filled compounds that permit establishing packing around individual isolated conductors. The cable gland assembly compresses and distributes the compound evenly to create a barrier seal at the point of entry into the cage. The compound chamber can be separated from the recovered compound to ensure that the space has been effectively filled. If necessary, external voids can be fixed.
Provide female walking coupler for cable glands or incoming channels.
Materials & Finishes
CSB 656N gland cable is produced in Brass (standard), Nickel Plated Brass, 316 Stainless Steel or Aluminum. Brass NPT entries are nickel plated as standard.
